Every day, thousands of young people in our communities experience challenges, temptations, violence and abuse. They are faced with having to make choices that will impact the rest of their lives -- choices that can enable and those that can cripple; choices that can lead to wealth and those that can lead to poverty; choices that can heal and those that can kill.
A Positive Approach to Teen Health (PATH), works in seven counties of Northwest Indiana, helping teens to make healthy choices that lead to fulfilling and successful lives. PATH's unique curriculum and programming is delivered through its LiveTru mentoring programs, school assemblies, and Planned Potential classroom training for teens in middle schools and high schools.
Sexual abstinence before marriage, substance abuse, relationship violence, bullying, self-abuse and suicide are the subjects delivered by PATH's trained educators and mentors. PATH educators are engaging, using multi-media and interactive games to help convey key points. In addition, PATH programs assist teens with setting positive personal and professional goals.
