A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNT MANAGER / OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
As an Account Manager / Outside Sales Representative, you are on the frontlines of revenue generation. As the primary contact for our clients, you start each day excited to establish new relationships while continuing to nurture existing ones. Using your ability to establish a good rapport quickly, you enthusiastically prospect for new leads. Your excellent communication skills are an essential part of your success, as you spend a lot of time chatting with clients on the phone or in person.
As you listen to the needs of potential and current clients, you effectively explain how our services can satisfy those needs, skillfully overcoming objections. Though you love interacting with people, you are also organized and goal-oriented. Using your analytical side, you proactively forecast sales and carefully plan out your month, quarter, and year, regularly achieving individual and team goals. Seeing your efforts pay off in your paycheck gives you a great sense of accomplishment.
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE AN ACCOUNT MANAGER / OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
- 3+ years of outbound business-to-business sales experience OR managed service sales experience
- Ability to prospect and generate your own leads
- Ability to travel to appointments
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
Experience in copier sales would be a huge plus. Are you a can-do person with a strong work ethic and hunger for success? Do you have a strong focus on attention to detail? Can you manage your time and prioritize tasks effectively? Do you have the ability to explain technical information in layman's terms? Are honesty and integrity among your top core principles? Do you have good interpersonal skills including excellent eye contact? Are you ready to "hit the pavement" and help us find new clients? This is a full-time Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm business development position with some overnight work for trade shows.
